Being a typical daddy’s girl, I have many reasons to thanks my Papa. image1 But the flawless skin what he passed me through genes has always been a matter to cherish and feel proud off. Those years of adolescent when my friends and even my brother used to struggle with anti-acne cream, I used to flaunt my clean & clear skin without any maintenance.

Then things suddenly changed in my late 20s, these little tiny bumps started popping up on my cheeks & chin; I blamed heat first, then pollution, later spices and what not. Reactions were coming not only from me, I started getting remarks such as” Oh wow! Turning Teen Again!”,often leaving me infumes to the core.  I tried finding my rescue in shining TV commercials and bought anti acne to anti-aging all the creams, but result was NEGATIVE with many adverse side effects!  I was not ready to compromise with my biggest asset and without wasting any time, I started research about the root cause of my problem.

Researching about Acne was a real challenge because each person’s skin is so different to begin with, and considering factors like lifestyle, environment, and diet only further complicates the situation. I came across that it’s not rare but many women from mid 20s start facing this problem and are in same boat with me. But luckily for most of us, where our acne presents itself can say a lot about its root cause. So, no need to guess what’s causing breakouts!

Let me help you with the solution I found. So look at the face map below and identify which colour zone correlates to your worst problem areas. Then, read what the cause for acne in that area is. Hopefully this face map can help you to self-diagnose and correct your acne problem areas.


Blue :Forehead :  It indicates that you have issue with Digestive System and Bladder. In order to improve acne in this area, you may need to consider a diet change or an increase in your intake of water. Consider cutting back processed foods–that can really help clear up this area.

Pink: Between Eyebrows :  It shows problem in Liver. To eradicate pimples in this region, consider a detox of sorts. Cut down on your alcohol consumption, eat lighter foods, and consider any foods you may have developed an allergy to (such as dairy)–this area is where an allergy traditionally manifests itself.

Forest Green: outside of eyes :  It’s time to take care of your Kidney. It’s time to cut down on coffee, soda, and other sugary beverages, and drink some good amounts of H20 instead. Hydrate your body with water and you should see a significant decrease in acne around your eyes. Acne on your ears relates to the kidneys as well.

White: Nose:  Time to have heart for your HEART! Acne on your nose could mean high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Try cutting back on red meat and increase your intake of foods with Omega 3’s such as avocado and fish.

Purple: Cheeks : It indicates that your Respiratory system is not as healthy as it should be, It indicates to allergies or smoking. If neither allergies nor smoking are the culprit, consider keeping your body at a neutral temperature, avoid overheat, spicy foods and add more green veggies to your diet.

Teal: outside, corners of mouth:  Hormones are the culprit. Controlling Hormones is not possible, but the reasons can be controlled. Have a better sleep, eat a healthy diet and keep your skin clean & moisturized. Contraceptive pills also affect hormones; have a check with your Gynecologists.

Yellow: Chin : Since, this area is associated with the Stomach, increasing the amount of fiber in your diet, drinking more water, and generally detoxing your body may help clear up this area.

This color and the organ correlation can be very useful in self-diagnosing your Acne woes and addressing them especially if you’re fighting your acne from the inside out! So, guess its time to do work on given suggestions but don’t forget to chart the improvement

Still, if your Acne issue doesn’t improve, it’s better to meet your GP and take expert advice instead of just ignoring or trying it out by yourself with home remedies and self-medication. It may worsen the situation.
